The FRITZ!Box 4060 is a triband Wi-Fi router with 4 x 4 Wi-Fi 6 (Wi-Fi AX) including MIMO and Mesh Wi-Fi function. The new flagship from the 40 series is the first model in this series to feature a DECT base station with DECT ULE, enabling telephony and smart home functions. In addition, a 2.5 Gbit/s WAN port provides a lightning-fast internet connection, for example to a cable or fiber optic modem. If desired, the WAN port can also be used as an additional 2.5 Gbit/s LAN port. The three gigabit Ethernet connections allow computers or network devices to be integrated into the home network at gigabit speeds. In addition, a VoIP telephone system and a NAS with a fast USB 3.0 connection are integrated into the FRITZ!Box 4060.

Wi-Fi AX for the highest demands
The FRITZ!Box 4060 has three Wi-Fi frequency bands (1 x 2.4 GHz and 2 x 5 GHz) according to IEEE 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6). All frequency bands operate simultaneously and are backwards compatible with IEEE 802.11a/g/n/ac. Wi-Fi channel bandwidths of up to 80 MHz (5GHz band) are possible, allowing speeds of up to 1,200 Mbit (2.4 GHz) and 4,800 Mbit/s (2 x 5 GHz) to be achieved. A Wi-Fi access for guests, isolated from the home network, is available separately.

Extensive functions for VoIP telephony
The VoIP telephone system allows up to six DECT handsets to be connected to the FRITZ!Box 4060. Depending on the interface in question, up to five phone calls can be made simultaneously. All relevant telephony functions are available for DECT phones. By using broadband voice codecs, HD telephony is also possible. The integrated DECT base station supports the GAP standard and enables the pairing of smart home devices. The 'Connect' button on the FRITZ!Box 4060 supports automatic registration (pairing) of a new handset, of Wi-Fi devices, and integration of PLC Wi-Fi devices into the home network with Mesh Wi-Fi function.

Versatile multimedia functions
In addition to the factory-integrated flash memory, the integrated USB 3.0 host connection can be used to connect printers and storage media directly to the FRITZ!Box 4060 and use them in the home network. Media such as photos, music and videos can be distributed in the home network to compatible playback devices via the integrated NAS function according to the UPnP-AV standard. USB storage media are accessible in the home network via standard network protocols (FTP/SMB). In addition, it is possible to link network storage (WebDAV).

Simple, convenient and secure
Already during the initial installation of the FRITZ!Box 4060, a Wi-Fi connection is established that is encrypted with a unique network key. In combination with a FRITZ!WLAN Stick, the required Wi-Fi security settings are transferred to the client via the 'AVM Stick & Surf' procedure. The user interface is also factory-secured with a unique password. Color-coded cables and connections, a quick start guide and interactive commissioning (including Wi-Fi installation) significantly simplify installation. The FRITZ!Box 4060 is operated via a user-friendly web frontend or via input on the phone keys of a connected phone.
